What to Expect After Listening
by Gerald Vind, PhD

We have received feedback from listeners who have tried to deviate from the instructions, for example, lying down instead of sitting up. Although it is more comfortable and relaxing lying down, nonetheless, the instructions are precise, and should be followed. The seated fetal position provides important spinal compression, maintains balance of laterality, and it helps to maximize alertness.

All of these are important in activating a stimulus-response reflex arc that is important for TD listeners in order to achieve a prenatal trance-like state where their neocortex is no longer dominant. If a listener does not follow the instructions provided, their results are diminished. This is illustrated by the email comments of a TD listener:

“I've always taken ‘short cuts’ and made half-hearted attempts at nearly everything I tried. And, true to form, I skipped your directions and assumed the fetal position while lying in bed and listening to the CD. Of course, I fell asleep both times! Today, I decided to actually follow directions and WOW!, what a breakthrough I had! At 64, I have tried just about everything on the planet with only limited results. For the first time in my life, I now know what it feels like to have loving parents - even if they are only in my mind! That's the great part - I know it isn't "reality", but my mood and attitude has changed anyway - quite amazing!"

Okay, any of you TD listeners who have not followed directions, please listen again as directed. Then, please let us know about your experience.

We invite all of our Transforming Dragons listeners to share their experience with us. Your feedback is truly appreciated.

New TD Module is Under Development
by Gerald Vind, PhD

Transforming Dragons continues now beyond the four modules contained in the TD CD. We have designed and recorded a new Module 5 that follows the Transforming Dragons Module 4.

Module 5 is designed to re-imprint a new set point for an important neurotransmitter called: oxytocin. Unfortunately, crucial stages of our prenatal development may not have stimulated adequate neurological development of oxytocin receptors that are necessary after birth to develop bonding and attachment, and for the experience of happiness.

Module 5 is a story designed to produce an alternative re-imprinting of the bonding and love between mother and father. As a listener, you are guided to open yourself to participate and share in an experience that stimulates the production of oxytocin, and thus adjust new neurochemical response patterns within you.

Module 5 will soon be available as an MP3 download from the Transforming Dragons website.

Stressful Pregnancies Create Dragons
by Gerald H. Vind

Some stress can be positive and beneficial, and this is called eustress. Eustress is our response to demanding requirements that are fun, rewarding and exciting. Acute stress can be positive, as in athletic competition, or negative as with a life-threatening experience. There is a neurochemical difference between positive and negative acute stress: higher dopamine and norepinephrine with positive, and higher epinephrine (adrenaline) with the negative.

Chronic stress is often experienced as hopeless and inescapable circumstances, as with the stress of a very unfair and demanding boss; also as with a bad marriage. A recent study at University College London (UCL) determined that civil servants who thought their superiors treated them unfairly were 55% more likely to have heart attacks than those who felt they were being treated fairly. Clearly, the UCL study points to the chronic stress of an unfair work environment as the primary causal factor.

Chronic stress is major health problem for our body-mind, and is the most common physical danger that we all face. Chronic stress manifests physical symptoms, and may begin with increased colds, headaches, and digestive problems. As the stress increases in time and intensity more serious health problems develop.

Too much stress assaults our brain, slowing its function and performance to a critical level. When our brain is not working right, our life is not working right. Accordingly, when our life is not working right, very likely our brain is not working right.

During pregnancy, severe stress is the driving force for creating “dragons” in a mother’s embryo/fetus. From the very earliest days of a pregnancy the mother’s emotional “juices” influence the developing embryonic tissues.

The very first embryonic neuronal tissue begins to establish foundational patterns of neuronal response. Embryonic cells develop a response pattern to the emotional stress “stew” of the mother’s emotional “juices” through a process of up regulation. That is, more receptors are created to respond to the stress “stew” (anxiety, depression, fear, etc.). As these embryonic cells divide they pass on their “wisdom” to their successive generations. Clearly, the earliest period of a pregnancy is vitally important to the proper development of the baby.

To more fully understand physiological problems produced by excessive stress in the mother, it is necessary to understand the principal control mechanism of the body that is called the autonomic nervous system (ANS). The ANS has two main parts: sympathetic (fight or run) and parasympathetic (digestion and assimilation of food, relaxation, and sleep). When the sympathetic turns on, the parasympathetic turns off. Our sympathetic nervous system is turned on by:

  • Perceived danger or threat
  • Acute or chronic pain
  • Injury or trauma
  • An acidic metabolic state with excess calcium levels in the blood, and insufficient levels of magnesium, potassium, and zinc

While protective mechanisms come into play with pregnancy, nonetheless, chronic stress patterns result in a chronic sympathetic-excited state. Thus, the parasympathetic nervous system shuts down, which means that the body's resources are diverted from the gut to prepare for a run or fight response. With parasympathetic shutdown our digestion and assimilation malfunction; so we may take large doses of supplements and eat a good diet, but our gut cannot assimilate most of these nutrients. Of course, in a pregnancy this will be a detrimental impact the developing prenate.

Chronic parasympathetic shutdown also means the large intestine is not working properly, and it fails to conserve water from the digestive sludge that flows in from the small intestine. With an elevated sympathetic and a shutdown parasympathetic nervous system the intestinal wall develops an oily, wax-like coating. The walls of the intestines become inflamed and cause a condition called “leaky gut,” where large protein molecules (that are normally excluded) enter into the blood stream and produce allergic reactions.

An elevated sympathetic (and a shut-down parasympathetic) nervous system activates the endocrine glands, particularly the adrenal glands. With chronic sympathetic nervous system activation endocrine glands become exhausted and shut down. Soon, nothing works properly, including the brain and immune system.

For children, high stress levels can produce too much corticotrophin releasing hormone (CRH is released by the hypothalamus) delivering a message to reduce production of growth hormone. Excess CRH (and the adrenocorticotropic hormone released by the pituitary) also affects digestion and can produce inflammation in the bowel. And, excess CRH is implicated in some mental disorders. Clearly, these same processes influence prenatal development.

If you are feeling uneasy about the effects of high level stress in your life, and you have concerns about your own imprinted patterns that generate stress, know that there is new hope; there is light at the end of the tunnel. That light comes from the great nuroplasticity of the human brain through new neurite (dendrites and axons) growth, and even growth of new neurons.

This new brain growth, grown under the influence of the science of Prenatal Re-Imprinting, offers a bright light for our individual paths out of darkness. Also, Transforming Dragons is designed to relieve stress in a very fundamental way. By freeing ourselves of our stress-hungry dragons, the stress producing patterns in our life will change, and we will be better equipped to master life’s challenges.

Thoughts, Intentions, and Emotions Influence Prenatal Development
by Gerald H. Vind

Prenatal growth and development are subject to many influences that operate primarily through the mother. In Transforming Dragons we have seen how a high stress levels cause pregnant women to release neurochemicals that influence prenatal growth and development. One of the major stress producing influences on the mother/prenate are negative thoughts and emotions of the mother.

In addition, there are also ways in which the prenate can be influenced directly by those who are close to the mother. Those around the expectant mother can influence the prenate directly with their thoughts, intentions, and emotions about a mother and/or her prenate. For example, very negative thoughts can be unexpressed (masked) by those close to the expectant mother, and they can still influence the prenate.

To some, this may sound like some pretty far out stuff. Yet, I challenge our readers to step outside of the reductionism of today, outside of thinking that limits our human potential. We humans are much more than machines that have a separate body and mind. We are a unified bodymind, and we relate to each other in significant ways that are often beyond our conscious awareness.

Dr. Masaru Emoto, a research scientist from Japan, has proven through repeatable experiments that human thoughts and emotions can alter the molecular structure of water freezing into ice. Now, for the first time, there is physical evidence that the power of our thoughts can change the world within and around us. Emoto’s research that shows human thoughts directed at water just before it is frozen can influence the formation of water crystals.

Dr. Emoto found that water could be consciously altered by the simple imprinting of a word of intent upon the water. Water that was imprinted by love, gratitude, and appreciation, responded by the development of ice crystals of complex beauty, and water that was mistreated by negative intentions became disordered and often took on grotesque forms.

Through repeatable experiments Dr. Emoto demonstrated the ability of human thoughts and emotions to alter the molecular structure of water. Yes, regular old tap water is a liquid crystal because the bond between H2 and O (in H2O) is asymmetrical, and this gives all water molecules a slight electrical polarization. This polarization causes water molecules to link together creating liquid crystal properties.

Water is thus able to store vast amounts of information, and is the primary mechanism for the effects of homeopathic medicine. Emoto’s books document his research with numerous photographs of water crystals influenced by words of intent, and they provide physical evidence that the power of our thoughts can change the world within and around us.

If thouthts, intentions, and emotions influence the structure of water, then that same influence operates on the cellular growth and development. Let us look at some of the mechanisms that influence cellular growth and development. Remember, the prevailing “wisdom” is that thoughts and intentions are insignificant and can be ignored. This is not so, and so let’s continue to discover why.

In addition to our brain’s neuronal network, there is also a very subtle signaling mechanism built into many non-neuronal brain cells. The vast majority of these cells are able to respond to magnetic fields. For almost all of us, the level of cellular chaos is so high that these electromagnetic influences remain below the threshold of our conscious awareness.

Only about ten-percent of the cells in our brain are neurons. Ninty-percent of the cells in our brain are neuronal support cells called glial cells, and about 70-percent of the glial cells are a type called astroglial cells. Astroglial cells provide neuronal support, primarily by operating next to neurons, particularly at the synapses, cleaning up the neurotransmitter molecules from the synaptic cleft, and recycling those molecules.

Also, astroglial cells play a vital role from our inception as a prenate by supporting or restricting the migration and differentiation of neural stem cells. Astroglial cells instruct non-committed undifferentiated stem cells to adopt a neuronal fate (become a particular type of neuron). Astroglial cells (also called astrocytes) induce neuron formation through direct cell-to-cell contacts and via short-range acting factors (neuronal messenger molecules). In addition, astroglial cells are influenced by receptor sites on their membrane surface; receptor sites that are made of ferromagnetic crystals, and are highly responsive to magnetic fields.

Astroglial cells manufacture their own ferromagnetic crystals. These are magnetic crystals (Fe3O4), and they are aligned in chains of up to 80 crystals per chain (typically in a cross-like structure) in an alignment that maximizes the magnetic moment of each crystal particle. These are membrane-bound biomineral magnetite crystals (produced within each cell as needed), and they have been shown to have a mechanical coupling that takes place between each compass-like magnetite particle and a mechanoreceptor in the cellular membrane.

These linear magnetic crystal domains are more than a million times more responsive to external magnetic fields than surrounding cellular non-magnetic structures. Some theorize that these magnetic particles interact with magnetic and electromagnetic fields and transduce their response into their host cell. Thus, they provide a means of responding to, and sensing our bioelectrical environment. (Kirschvink, J.L.et al, "Magnetite Biomineralization in the Human Brain," Proceedings of the national Academy of Sciences , 89 (1992) 7683-7687)

The synaptic firing of neurons produces an action potential that is a sharp spike of voltage, and then falls quickly back to the starting voltage. Our human brain is very electrical, and changes in membrane polarization, action potentials, etc. This creates micro-voltages that operate throughout the brain, and can be detected outside the skull with electrodes placed on the scalp. However, we should look deeper than superficial electrical measurements.

What is overlooked in all of this it the important action of the astroglial cells. Our brain operates many times faster than the action potential of the fastest neurons, achieving almost instantaneous speeds. Speed and coordination appear to be the result of the influence of astroglial cells. How do the astroglial cells communicate with each other in order to coordinate neuronal activity? While much research remains to be done, it appears that ferromagnetic crystals on the surface of the cells are involved in astroglial cellular communication and coordination. However, there is also another mechanism involved.

In addition to large numbers of ferromagnetic crystal structures on the membrane surface of astroglial cells, there is an additional mechanism that involves the structures within and under the cellular membrane; structures that are called the cytoskeleton. The cellular cytoskeleton is a complex matrix of self-assembling fibers, primarily actin filaments, and microtubule fibers.

I know I have been dragging some readers through some pretty deep “yogurt.” Please stay with me as we look more closely at microtubules. In an effort to explain why the human brain can process far more information than can be explained by synaptic firing of neurons, quantum physicist Roger Penrose and Stewart Hameroff, MD (who appeared in the movie “What the Bleep”) collaborated on research of this area; and they developed an explanation involving microtubules of the cellular cytoskeleton. They postulate that microtubules operate as a computer within the computer. Thus, the non-local properties of microtubules could provide both computational and communications functions.

Okay, we are up to our ears in microtubule deep “yogurt,” and I have yet to explain how thoughts and intentions influence the developing prenate by acting at a distance, that is, not through direct neurochemical messages. This subject requires more of an explanation to grasp the significance of non-local (nonlocal) effects, sometimes referred to as hyperdimensional effects. There is more information on this subject in a 60-page ebook titled: The Nonlocal Mind – Some Advances in Theory, Research, Measurement of “subtle energy/information system” of the body. This ebook is available online for free at: www.rebprotocol.net/nonlocal2007f.pdf

The Nonlocal Mind is also a doorway leading through links to many hundreds of additional interesting pages (and perhaps information overload). Exploring the many links found there will definitely take your mind “out of the box” of reductionism.

We humans exist within a vastly larger reality, much larger than the limited perspective of space-time that defines the common experience of our local reality. Nonlocal means beyond our space-time reality: timeless, and everywhere and nowhere (now/here). It is an integral part of our human existence that most of us have been conditioned to forget and ignore by our heavily reductionist and materialistic culture.

For those readers who can’t take the time to explore The Nonlocal Mind, and its links, I invite you to accept my assertion that the thoughts, emotions, and intentions of those close to a prenate influence its biological development. Positive thoughts, emotions, and intentions should surround and nurture a prenate. Negative thoughts, emotions, and intentions come from the “dragons” of the expectant mother, and those around her.

Thus, a pregnant woman and those around her would do well to transform their dragons. For expectant mothers living in a dysfunctional family, this is a matter of the utmost importance and urgency. Remember, that Transforming Dragons has no negative effects, only positive and beneficial effects.

Recommended Reading – Biology of Belief:

This month we feature Biology of Belief, a groundbreaking book (2005) in the field of new biology by Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D. Dr Lipton is a former medical school professor (University of Wisconsin) and research scientist (Stanford University School of Medicine). His experiments have examined in great detail the processes by which cells receive information. His book is well written and can be read and understood by the general public.

This book will change how you think about your own thinking. There are stunning new scientific discoveries about the biochemical effects of the brain’s functioning. These discoveries show that all the cells of your body are affected by your thoughts. Dr. Lipton describes the precise molecular pathways through which this body-mind connection occurs. He explains a revolutionary new science of Epigenetics that provides a revolutionary understanding of the link between mind and matter.

Dr. Lipton shows that we can control the activity of our genes and even rewrite our genetic expression through our belief. Our beliefs, whether they are true or false, positive or negative, exist throughout the cells of our bodies, as well as in our minds. He also shows us that we have the means to reshape our lives, by changing firmly held beliefs.

“Endowed with the ability to be self-reflective, the self-conscious mind is extremely powerful. It can observe any programmed behavior we are engaged in, evaluate the behavior and consciously decide to change the program. We can actively choose how to respond to most environmental signals and whether we want to respond at all. The conscious mind’s capacity to override the subconscious mind’s preprogrammed behavior is the foundation of free will.” (p 134)

Dr. Lipton believes that this emerging model of cell biology will have as great an effect on our scientific paradigm as the emergence of quantum theory had on physics. The fact that energy impacts cells as profoundly as physical molecules provides a scientific explanation for the efficacy of conventional medicine, alternative therapies, and spiritual healing.

The implications of Bruce Lipton’s research radically changes our understanding of life. His work has shown that genes/DNA do not control our biology. And, he has shown us that DNA expression is controlled not from within, but by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our positive and negative thoughts. Dr. Lipton’s profoundly hopeful synthesis of the latest and best research in cell biology and quantum physics is being hailed as a major breakthrough showing that our bodies can be changed as we retrain our thinking.

Dr. Lipton’s work is an important construct in the science of Prenatal Re-Imprinting, and Transforming Dragons.

Hi Dr. Vind,
I've noticed some changes in my attitude about life since buying the Transforming Dragons CD and working with it several times. I would like to schedule a private appointment with you for additional progress - but not in Las Vegas! Dallas is much closer and more convenient. When are you going to have a training class for PNRI in the Dallas area? -- (TD Listener)

Dear Listener,
I appreciate hearing from you. A PNRI training class is starting in Dallas, on June 6th and will run for ten consecutive Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:30. I have moved from Las Vegas to the greater Dallas area, and I will be working with Dr Joe DiRuzzo in conducting the class. I believe that the cost for basic PNRI certification is $1,250. I believe that the course can be audited for $350. Also, I am now available in Dallas for private sessions.
For more information send me an email: Dr. Geral Vind

Dear Dr. Vind,

I am very excited about the Transforming Dragons procedure. Before I heard your presentation I had almost given up hope of finding something to help with the negative traits that I knew were implanted before I was born. Thank goodness my Mother told me the situation so that I at least had an idea of what could have caused my problems. – JR

To: TD Network,

I have never heard of anyone before starting at the beginning like you did. Beautiful! Wonderful! - Thank you, -- LM
